Public Works

The Department of Public Works provides and maintains public services to improve the lives of Village residents and visitors. The Public Works garage is located at 51 E. Maple Street, Elkhart Lake, WI 53020. The Department oversees the construction and maintenance of the Village infrastructure. The Public Works employees maintain and repair the streets, street lighting, street signs, snow removal, sidewalks, trees, Village parks & beach, refuse & recycling program, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, plus many other tasks.

The Department is made up of 3full-time employees. The Village also hires a few seasonal employees to supervise the yard waste drop-off at the Village garage.

The normal hours of operation for the Public Works Department are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The Public Works employees are at the Village garage for limited amounts of time, so please leave a message if you would like to speak with them.
